Tour Over Three Days (One full day and two half days) -

Our Christmas Special Tour starts in the historic town of Ypres. We will head off

around Ypres, visiting sites and locations unique to this tour, with a special stop or

two along the way including visits to some impressive sites, such as Tyne Cot

cemetery and Pond Farm in Passchendaele and it’s amazing museum. On arrival

back in Ypres, we will check you in to your hotel, the four star Ariane Hotel in the

centre of town. In the evening there will be time to visit the Ypres Christmas market

before a short walk to attend the Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate. Afterwards,

we’ll have a group meal in a very nice restaurant adjacent to the market - a great

opportunity to relax and meet your fellow travellers. This is of course optional - allow

approx €35pp plus drinks.

In the morning, after a healthy breakfast, we continue the tour, heading South towards Arras, passing through the areas of the Battles of Loos, a visit to Fromelles and other sites and cemeteries, including a visit to the site of the famous truce and football match. On arrival in Arras, we’ll check in to the Ibis Styles Hotel, which is a short walk to the Christmas Market - the largest in Northern France! You can wander around the market at your leisure and take in some of the various entertainments on offer, get some food and enjoy the atmosphere. We highly recommend booking a restaurant for this evening as Arras gets very busy and restaurant places are usually full on the night. After breakfast the next morning, we’ll again head South towards the Somme. Whilst we’ll drive through the Battlefield areas of the Somme and Arras, covered in depth on other tours, this tour will take a very different route... along with the usual expert commentary via CB radio. The tour will end at approximately 3pm. Allow two hours for the journey back to Calais. Please be aware that at this time of year lanes are likely to be wet! Be prepared to get your vehicle muddy! Also, please note there are no driveable ‘green lanes’ in Belgium, so the off-road sections will start when we head out of Belgium. To book, click on the link for your chosen date. We only require a £100 deposit per vehicle or full payment if the tour is less than twelve weeks away. Eight weeks before the tour we will send you a balance request and invoice. Once the balance is paid we will send you an information pack including meeting places, times, booking references etc

Arras! The first night will be spent in the

4-star Ariane hotel in Ypres, Belgium,

where we will take in the Last Post

second night will be in the IBIS Styles

hotel in the centre of Arras, a short walk

from the market.
